Help me make it through the night!

Some while ago Liv told me about Gob Squad. A british/ German performance group, who were gonna make different performances around Berlin, and she recommended that I should go and see one. So last night her and I went to see them in their performance "Room Service" about 4 people who are alone in a hotel room and has too do all sorts of things to keep awake.
It took place in a conference room in a Hotel, where there were 4 televisions showing what happened in the different rooms. It was a 5 hour long performance and a mix between manuscript and improvisation that also includes the audience, and you can come and go as you like within the 5 hours.

One of the things I really liked was when one of them started to use the bin and toilet as pets that he had to feed, or when they made simultaneously music videos to famous songs.

Because I was really tired I thought that I might stay there a couple of hours, but it was so great that we ended up being the for almost 4. And if my eyes hat not been down to my knees, I would have stayed to the end.

How we party in Germany!

One of the things I find really interesting about Berlin is that it seams like people have a very low tolerance towards noise. All bars close their windows and stop serving outside past a certain point, otherwise they know that the neighbors are gonna call the police.

Last night Aycha and me arrived at a house party a little past 11 pm. And before I even got to get my drink came 3 policemen.
We all thought they just came to tell us to keep it down, but after talking a little with the host they decided to close the party. Shortly after came what I would consider a minor SWAT team to make sure that everyone got out. I think there were almost as many policemen as there were guests.
To think that the police has nothing better to do than to end a house party half past eleven on a Friday night. I guess it means that we are blessed with a low crime rate. Or??

A glimpse of Manhattan!

Last night I was really suppose to be productive, but instead I those to watch a movie. I didn't know anything about it beside the catch line on IMDB, and although some might think I those it only because of the Twilight guy, I can say that my interest in vampires is not that big and it wasn't the reason why I those "Remember me"
It was I very cute love story, that somehow reminded me a little of "10 things I hate about you". However this story has a lot more layers to it, and a very surprising ending, that I have to say ruined the rest of my night thinking about how fragile we are.

I will love you today, tomorrow and the rest of the winter!

I guess I was just in time when I startetd knitting a new sweater. The two yarns are old, and one used to be a skirt, the other one a west that I never really finished.
Now they are unraveled and combined in a brand new sweater, that is so warm, I am almost sure that it will hang on me almost every day until the spring comes.

Peaches does herself!

Last Night I went with Bastian to see Peaches. Because hes Roommate was gonna appear in the show, he got two tickets, and after hearing so much about her, I have to admit that I was intrigued.
The show was kind of a theater play over her life, singing and performing.
However, this will be the first, only and last time that I see her. I can say it was bad, it just wasn't neither Bastian's or my taste, so we ended up leaving doing intermission, and instead we went to Tangente Bar in Neukölln, where they every Wednesday night have an open mike session.
It turned out to be a nice night!

The Thing!

So yesterday we "Das Keiner Enemble" had our monthly performance in the Ä bar in Neukölln. If I dare to say that we played for the biggest audience yet, I wouldn't be all wrong. It was also very nice in the basement with real fire and candlelight.
The film we did was something we did once before. "The Thing". A SiFi movie from the 80's. And although we had some technical difficulties it turned out to be a great show.

The Rumour Said, Yes!!

Today Something I have been waiting for for quite some time happened. The Danish folk band "The Rumour Said Fire" released their first album.
For the last year I have been humming along on their 6 number long EP, it has almost been the soundtrack to my time in Berlin, and now finally 10 new song. After listening to it a couple of times I can honestly say that even though there isn't a song that you just instantly fall in love with, like I did with " the Balcony" I am almost certain that I am gonna like this album more for each time I listen to it.

A day at the lake!

Today I did something that I have wanted to do for so long. All through summer I somehow stayed in the city while my friends were going to the lakes around Berlin. Yesterday I decided that today should be the day where I went, as it would be the perfect Sunday thing to do.
Luckily the weather couldn't have been more perfect. The sun was shining and it was so warm I had to take of my jacket.
I went to Friedrichshagen where they across from the station had a Trödelmarkt that I just had to visit now that I was there.

I didn't buy anything but I saw this really cute childs dress.
I walked down to Müggelsee through the main street

looked at playmobil houses
enjoyed the fresh breeze and the view over the lake
took an off road
and got a little lost
looked at mushrooms
also the colorful ones
but I didn't eat any
Instead I ate Bratwurst und Bratkartoffeln at this very cute Hafenbar

With a view to the lake
and a very maritime decor
thought about a couple of girls home in Denmark
And ended up taking a short ferry ride to get to the nearest S-bahn
and the captain had a true Berliner accent saying "Ike" instead of "Ich"
I never really though the I had a favorite season, but I think it might be fall, at least if every day could be like today.

Herbst in Berlin!

Now there is no way to avoid it. Fall is here. It is cold, windy and gray but can also be very beautiful.
And the last couple of days it has been just that.
One thing I really like about fall is when the sun shines and brings out all the different colors. I started a little collection of fallen leaves that I found on the street and thought was beautiful.
