London After Hours!

Something Old, Something New, Something Nice and Nothing Euww!.

At the moment I am making a recipe book, containing all my favorite recipes. While Vincent was here we tried some new thing that I will add to it, but also some old friends that are already there.

Obsessive Dots and Airplanes!

Today me and Vincent went to Tate Modern to see the Giraf aka. Kusama. So I wore my dotted cardigan and felt like a little Japanese schoolgirl with my backpack.

I have to say what was most impressive was her "Infinity Mirrored Room" where we could see ourselves into infinity surrounded by billions of glowing dots changing colors every fifth second.

The best unexpected part was Alighiero Boetti who's exhibition just opened today. Much less crowded, but much more interesting. His work was quite versatile but also really obsessive in a way. I think it spoke to me because of his use of words and his interest in process and travel of letters. I found his blue komma pictures all painted with a buro pen really impressive, and couldn't help but think how much labor went into each piece. Those I wouldn't mind to have hanging on my wall.

At the end we rested our tired legs by watching Tacita Dean's film in the grand Turbine Hall.

Walking At The Heath!

Today the weather was really lovely, and Vincent and I went to Hampstead heath to take a walk in the sun, before going to Camden Art Center.

Warmth!

Past couple of days the temperature has told me that spring is coming, and so today I wore my new shoes and enjoyed the sun in my eyes.

Vast Landscapes And Shaddows!

I found this very cute blog with lots of beautiful pictures for great inspiration.

Don't Want You To Wake Up!

Last night I did a discovery. Lying on my bed watching the sealing I all of a sudden notices how tiny starts appeared from underneath the paint. The more I looked the more I could see. It is weird how sometimes you don't notice something that is right in this case above your nose.

The Heart Collection

I don't know if it is coincidental or because it was just Valentines day, but it seams that London isat the moment teeming with hearts lying on the ground. This was the second one I saw today. For the first one I didn't have my camera with me, but it was small and red.

The Heart Collection!

Last night in the darkness I spotted another heart on the ground. (Broadway Market)

More and More Food!

I know that lately I have been blogging quite a lot about food. But I can't help it. I have just been having a lot of great food the past couple of weeks.
Yesterday I made Sweet potato gnocchi for the 3rd time, and turns out that 3rd time is the charm, cause they were by far the best batch I made yet.
It takes such a long time to do, but it is definitely worth it, and now I have sweet potato gnocchi for some time.

Valentines Heart And Licorice!

Yesterday I received a package from Denmark. It was yummy licorice from Claus and Emilie. It came really conveniently as I had been invited to a Anti-Valentines dinner at Man and Michaels, and  promised them to try both heart and tongue for the first time in my life.
So I thought it was in it's place to bring the licorice and make them try something new too.

I have to say their attempt to make me try something new was much more successful than the other way around. Both the heart and tongue surprised me in a positive way, but I am quite sure that neither Man or Michael will have a good memory of the licorice or eat it again.

A Tymmy Full Of Yummy Food!

This weekend has been all about food. Yesterday afternoon I prepared my lunch for most of the week. Pumpkin Risotto and tomato soup.

Then in the evening I spend the time at Michael and Mans, cooking some food with a Danish twist  for them at their amazing kitchen. I got a bit of help from Man and the cute house cat, she was mostly supervising. The menu was Pork roast, and risalamande.

Today Lilly had invited me to come and make the next batch of Macarons with her. Lemontaste. It took quite some time and they were maybe not as perfect as at Laduree's, but they did look lovely and had a yummy taste, and we had some fun hours experimenting with lemoncurd and clean egg of from the entire kitchen.
