Fall Means Great Colors!

...not only in the changing leaves but the general color play between the changing nature and consistent urban constructions. I know I said this before, but fall is by far my favorite season, and this year in London it is progressing really nicely with sun and warmth.

Sky, Wall, Fence!

Sometimes London walls look amazing especially in direct sun and with blue sky behind, Other times the sky is grey and then it looks amazing with the right scenery. These two pictures are very similar but also completely different. I have a thing for looking up and wonder whats behind the walls and fences in this town.

Arranging Rum!

On of the things I picked up in France was how to make Rhum arrangĂ©, which is really very easy once you know of it.  It is basically just to take some cheap rum, and add anything you like of fruit, vegetables, herbs or spices, some sugar and then wait for the rum to take taste.
A couple of weeks ago I made three different ones out of one bottle of rum.
Pear & Vanilla,
Lemon & Ginger,
Raisin
Now I am exited to taste how they are progressing, if they need more of some ingredients or simply just need more time before they are ready to drink.

Describing Architecture!

The main reason I went to Dublin was to participate in this exhibition Describing Architecture. After the meeting with the great Dublin architecture I was not surprised that someone had decided to have an annual exhibition about this. It was in the Town Assembly Hall; a beautiful old building with amazing textured walls; very forgiving place to take photographs. I think my favorite piece was the coffee cans, showing the development of different projects from an architecture firm, but really it is about how much coffee they drink in the process of developing these houses.

A City Of Great Architecture!

I have a bit more from Dublin that I want to show you, because one of the things I was really amazed by in the city was how much great architecture there was. Both the older but also modern architecture was really nice. Someone told me that in the 90's they build a lot of 70's 80's style houses and I really like the look of that era. So here is a fan of the ones I found most interesting on my walk through town.

Morning Walk And Coffee!

This morning when I came out to go to the post office I was met by another beautiful and warmish day. The past couple of days have been cold, wet and windy and now it is proper starting to look like fall here. So I decided to go for a impulsive coffee while I was still able to sit outside and enjoy the sun at a newly opened cafe in Victoria Park Village. The Refreshment room an extension to The Deli Downstairs. Normally I always bring a book or some knitting, but today I didn't have anything so instead I took pictures.

A Night with Johnny Flynn!

Last night I was at one the most amazing concerts in a long long time. It was Johnny Flynn and the Sussex Wit playing in beautiful Hackney Empire which most of all reminded me of the old Royal Danish Theater.
I was really tired and on the verge of sick, but as soon as the music began I forgot time and my misery and was completely captured for the next one and a half hour. I don't know which song is my favorite, but Been Listening was the one that got me into him in the first place. Perhaps because of the guitar solo.

A Bit Of Shopping!

To seek shelter from the rain I had a good excuse to do a bit of shopping. Nomally I really dislike shopping centers but I found one that was half a food court which I guess makes it okay, and I bought another notebook to my growing collection.

This teapot reminded me a bit of Beauty and The Beast.
