Mornings!

Some random pictures taken in the morning throughout the past couple of months. Mostly of all the good breakfast I've been having.

Something I am really sad about at the moment, is that the sourdough I have been using since September recently died on me. It was - to my big disappointment - exactly at the time where I first planned to serve it to others than ourselves . Such is life.

Currently I am trying to start another one, but winter climate is not as forgiving as summer for these kind of things and I must admit I am quite impatient. It is just so nice to wake up in the morning and put the dough in the oven and one hour later have a nice homemade bread.

Flea-market Findings

It is funny, cause when I find nice things for so little money, I almost appreciate them more.

Wooden Spoons - Object of Desire

Last week I picked up a parcel that I have been waiting for in excitement. Instagram is not only good for cooking inspiration but also made me discovered these beautiful handcarved spoons from Belaya Hvoya (meaning white needles) in Ukraine.

Recently they launched their web-shop, and although everything is in Russian, it didn't stop me from writing them to ask if they could kindly send me some, which they agreed to. I got a package full of wood-shaving and every spoon wrapped individually  in a cute little bag fabric bag.

I find their imperfect figure so charming. They have received a special place in our kitchen, so I can look at them everyday when they are not in use.

Eating With The Misfits

Some days ago we all took a very long lunch break and went to Culinary Misfits to eat.

Besides being a super cute place, it it a cafe with an agenda. The two girls who runs it work together with local farmers and source vegetables that can't be sold to supermarkets due to EU restrictions. They use the misfits to make yummy seasonal food, that we can eat with a good conscience.
